All Orienteering World Ranking Events (WREs) up to 31 July (inclusive) are cancelled, the International Orienteering Federation announced.
Despite signs of recovery from the coronavirus pandemic in some countries, the situation is still uncertain for the preparation and participation of WREs. Therefore, for the sake of fairness,the IOF Council decided to cancel all WREs for these coming three months.
In Asia, the cancelled WREs include
- Kansai Pre-Event for World Master Games 2021, 5-6 May 2020
- Singapore Orienteering League 2, 14 June 2020
The Asian Orienteering Championships in Pohang, South Korea has already been delayed from May to 21-25 August.
IOF will review the situation around 1 July.
